Originally from Nobleboro, owner Izzy Nelson entered the restaurant scene after studying Restaurant Management at the University of Southern Maine. After working for a few years as a banquet manager in Florida, she returned home to Maine and is now the proud owner of The Lobster Haul. Izzy’s father Rick renovated the the historic barn that now houses the restaurant, which was previously home to the Skidompha Secondhand Book Shop.

Come by to meet Izzy and the rest of our crew, who will likely be out hauling or in the back cooking fresh lobstah! Not only does Izzy pick & cook lobsters daily, she’s also picky about having the freshest ingredients in a clean & friendly establishment. Everything is locally-sourced, including our lobsters that are hauled from Round Pond, Pemaquid, South Bristol & New Harbor.
